The Signature Humbucker Set is Ron Ellis’s own recipe for creating the ultimate PAF style pickup.

He has consistently favored PAFs that retain a clear, single coil like sound and feel, with strong articulation and dynamic response. The Signature set reflects that preference, delivering a more open top end and slightly reduced midrange content compared to traditional PAF winds. 

Because of this controlled midrange profile, the Signature set drives the preamp of an amplifier less aggressively, allowing for greater headroom, clarity, and note separation. The result is a highly articulate humbucker voice that responds closely to pick attack and volume adjustments.

The set uses a unique combination of materials selected by Ron Ellis to achieve a refined, clear, and expressive PAF character.
