The 64FATS are a slightly fatter wound version of the 64S set, reflecting examples found in some mid to late 1960s Stratocaster vintage pickups.

The additional winds produce a punchier single-note response with increased overall mid-range compared to the standard 64S specification, while retaining the clarity and articulation associated with mid-1960s Stratocaster designs.
